WHY SO MANY HOLIDAY PARTIES?

I just had my residence hall holiday party last night, and it was a success! But, I also have to wonder, why on Earth are there so many holiday parties?
I know I wrote a post about holiday parties a few weeks ago, but here are some perks of having holiday parties in your residence hall!
- Destressers! (I had a resident come up to me last night and tell me the event really helped perk him up after he suffered through a stressful week)
- Fun bonding experience!
- FOOD and SNACKS!!
- Playing holiday music, finally!
- Having fun and not worrying about all the stuff that's due in like, the next 2 weeks
If you haven't planned one yet in your residence hall, I think you should really think about planning one! My residents had a great time, and they loved the snacks, the bonding, and they felt refreshed from a long week. And also, the next two weeks are going to be a nightmare, work-wise, so it helped them just have fun without worrying. It's also a great way for residents to bond in a *forced* environment. And, it's a great way for you to see all your residents and have a chance to bond and spend time with them.
Plan that holiday party, and be there for your residents. Finals are upon us, and they're scary!
